As we welcome 2026, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your continued trust and support. Many of you have been part of the Pets by MJ family for years, and it truly means the world to me and my team to care for your beloved pets.

With the rising costs of fuel, supplies, insurance, and the ongoing effort to fairly support my dedicated sitters and walkers, it has become necessary to make a small pricing adjustment for the new year. I always strive to keep my rates competitive within our service areas while continuing to provide reliable, professional, and personalized pet care.

Beginning April 1, 2026, all services will reflect a $5 increase per visit or service. This modest adjustment allows us to continue offering the high level of care your pets are accustomed to, while helping cover increased operating and travel costs — especially for clients located outside our primary service areas.

🐶 Pet Sitting & Dog Walking – Visits to Your Home 

15-Minute Visit – $25 

30-Minute Visit – $35 

45-Minute Visit – $45 

60-Minute Visit – $55

🏡 Overnight Stays in Your Home 

$95 per night 12–15 hour guaranteed stay (typically 6pm–6am). Includes dinner & breakfast feedings, potty breaks upon arrival, before bedtime, and in the morning. (Also used as a Day Sit fee for 3–6 hour stays.)

🏠 Live-In Stays in Your Home 

$135 per night 16–24 hour care with minimal alone time (no more than 2–3 hours). Includes all feedings, potty schedules, walks, and regular routines. (Also used as a Day Sit fee for 7–12 hour stays.)

Gasoline Surcharge – $0.725 per mile applies to services provided more than 5 miles from Pets By MJ’s home base. Only miles beyond the 5-mile radius are charged. Mileage is billed at the 2026 IRS business rate of $0.725 per mile, per visit. 

Holiday / Holiday Eve Fee – Additional $15

Late Cancellation –

•20% of billing with less than 3 days' notice (regular visits)

• 40% for holidays -

Key Pickup or Return – $5 (or choose our Safe Key Program for FREE)  Short-Notice Requests – Additional $20 for requests made less than 3 days before departure
